Good morning from Maui. I didn’t have the opportunity to speak with you following this past Saturday’s seminar. To begin with, I am more than happy to have kept our secret from you. You are more than deserving of the globe. While I believe that the award is appropriate, I hope you understand how much you and your efforts mean to so many that do not have the ability to bring much-needed topics to the forefront of our ongoing discussion of awareness and competency in the law and in the courtroom. Awards are insufficient in addressing your positive impact on all of us. I thank you again for including me in your continuing work. Hats off to you, Abbas Hadjian.
Very truly yours,
William Spiller, Jr., Esq.

Abbas in known nationally and internationally for his lifetime work in Cultural Competency.
During the presentation Abbas was recognized for his mission and for honoring his dream. The presentation was so moving that Abbas was brought to tears of joy, as were the panelists making the presentation.
In addition to his work with Cultural Competency and the AAML, Abbas is the Chair of the Family Law Section, Los Angeles County Bar Association. Abbas will be formally installed as the LACBA FLEXCOM Chair next Saturday August 6, 2022 at the Sold Out Installation of Officers and Presentation of the Spencer Brandeis Award to Bob Brandt. 2023 SoCal Trial Institute Update - On another note, if you have not signed up and reserved your room for the 2023 SoCal Trial Institute, the Early Bird Discount will end tomorrow. Dear Abbas,
Congratulations on a seminar well done! Interesting, informative and a great way to get to know some Family Law judges for those of us mental health professionals who deal with court-related cases. Please keep me on the list for future meetings and seminars.
Best regards,
Renee Leff, LMFT. J.D.
Congratulations Abbas on the well deserved honor and putting on another amazing program. We are so fortunate to have you be our leader.

Dear Abbas
I'm thrilled you were honored just now for your remarkable accomplishment in driving the idea of Cultural Competency into something that has had real impact. No doubt that this has to be just the beginning of the wished-for impact, but the transformation has at least been started. That has to be the hardest part, and you are properly credited as the central driving force.
I'm glad to have been along for this ride. I am sure I've gotten more out of this than I gave to it.
Best regards,
Commissioner Keith M. Clemens (Ret.)
Wow!!! Congratulations, Abbas! That is an incredible honor and clearly well deserved.
